Best 480GB, 500GB & 512GB Solid State Drive For The Money

Report Data Collected On 5/Dec/2016 {Monthly Updated}

If you’re looking to buy a perfect SSD for your laptop or computer and need some professional advice then you really are at the right place because I actually update this article every month or maybe sometimes twice in a month to make your SSD shopping more tension free because buying an SSD isn’t that simple how it looks like.

There was a time when SSD’s are a lot expensive as compared to the current price tag, but thanks to all SSD’s makers for using the latest technology like smaller processors, Multi-Level NAND chips, and die stacking which all have driven down the whole cost of the PCB design and that’s the thing which really makes SSD’s a lot cheaper than it was before.

Because of cheaper SSD’s cost, people are losing to buy a new hard disk for their computer and now they are preferring SSD’s just because of its incredible speed and affordable price tag.

Now, even the budget PC builders can take the advantage of ultra-fast flash storage device;

There is a theory who says “Increasing a ram memory can speed up your computer” but the thing is, that time was long gone and now in this 2016, every 98% daily running computer system in the world uses more than 1GB of ram and not just that 70% of system currently using 2GB or maybe more than 2GB of ram and believe it or not, but 2GB is enough or every normal computer system.

As far as I know, maybe not even 10% computers users uses SSD in their computer and if you don’t know, a storage device need to be fast as compare to ram because all the process are generating through the files, which mainly all are saved in the storage device and that’s the thing why it really needs to be fast to read and write all the data process frequently.

Why use 480GB or 500GB Solid State Drive?

A lot of people asking me, do need really need to buy heavier capacity of SSD’s storage or they just use small 128GB SSD only of operating system drive.

The answer what I always give to them is, “500GB Giga Bytes of Storage” you know what it means, now you can open, save, transfer and even do everything related to storage ultimate quickly and not just that, playing multi saved games on 4K multi-display is just the beginning. In 500 GB you can store every data what you have to use on your daily basis.

Let’s See The Top SSD’s List

Nowadays, SSD’s prices go up’s and down and manufactures give all confusing name to all theirs products which really won’t help either while choosing a good solid state drive for our computer and that’s the reason why SSD becomes the trickiest hardware items to shop for our Computer PC or laptop.

But the thing is, you don’t have to worry about it now because I did all the product price and performance comparing stuff for you and actually, I make this Top 6 SSD’s list by looking at over 55+ different SSD’s by testing their performance and reading the reviews of those users who are currently using it in their computers or laptop.

Actually, in this article, you’ll gonna find some different kinds of SSDs listed down below because there are 4 different types of SSDs are available in the market and the fact is, all are useful and the thing what make those SSDs different from each other is the physical form factor size and the physical connection interface.

If you just wanna to buy an SSD to replace your old hard disk drive or you have to need it for your new decent computer, then you’ll just need to buy the 2.5 inch SSD for your computer or laptop and that will work just great for you and the best part is, the 2.5 Inch SSDs uses the same interface just like a normal Hard Disk does.

Or otherwise if you’re willing to buy other types of powerful and usefully SSDs which you never heard off then you can try my this article >> How To Buy SSD (Solid State Drive) For PC & Laptop?<< And that will definitely gonna give you an idea about, what type of SSD did you actually need for yourself.

Or for performance, just look mainly for the maximum “Random Read/Write Speed” because your system’s whole performance is depending upon that.

So, let’s starts with;

#In My Opinion

Just like I said Samsung is taking all over the market and if you are looking for small storage capacity drive then I’ll think about to suggest you to try some other brand but when it comes for the bigger size storage device then buying a product of some other brand which you don’t even know, isn’t that beneficial.

So, I’ve mentioned two mSATA SSDs as you can see listed above in this article and one of them is for the budget users and the another second one is for the performance-hungry user and believe it or not, but the budget one is just 6% slower than the expensive one.

The reason why I listed “Samsung PM851” is for its 100k random reading and writing performance speed and that’s the one who can really boost your laptop’s battery backup because just look at the Power Consumption Spec of this SSD, it’s freakin’ mind-blowing and if you are the person you actually do multitasking or gaming on laptop then this SSD will become heaven for you.

The reason why I like Samsung 850 EVO is because of its high Sequential reading and writing speed and if you are a professional person who does a lot work on video editing or saving and transferring file from one place to another place then the 850 EVO will definitely gonna fulfill all your performance needs and not just that, the another great reasons why I really suggest this SSD over PM851 because it can get you 5 years of warranty period.

So, now the choice is yours.

#In My Opinion

Actually, it’s all upon you to decide what you wanted for yourself because I did my best to find the best product in the market and now it’s all about much you can pay.

So, if you need an SSD under 220$ then the Plextor is good for you or if you don’t mind paying extra more 100$ for ultimate speed then spending that kind of money also won’t disappoint you either.

Best 480GB, 500GB & 512GB PCIe SSDs Available In the Market

Sorry to say but not a good single PCI Express SSD card is available in the market under this 480, 500 & 512 GB SSDs category after the “Samsung 960 PRO” released because there was a time when Intel PCI SSDs is selling in huge amount but after seeing the great specification on “Samsung 960 PRO”, I can’t suggest you to waste you money on Intel.

the thing is that you can use NVMe M.2 SSD card on your computer even without having M.2 slot on it, and that thing only gonna happen by just using M.2 to PCIe Card Adaptor just like shown in the picture given below.

 photo convertor adaptor 223_zpsoyqp5ex9.jpg

I’m only suggesting you this because paying extra money for nothing isn’t that thoughtful because M.2 SSDs uses the same interface just like PCI SSD card does and just because of that, you’ll feel free to use it on your computer and that M.2 SSD will definitely gonna deliver exactly the same performance speed and you’ll feel just like using a PCIe SSD card on your computer.

So, just buy a Samsung 960 PRO – 512GB M.2 SSD card and the M.2 to PCIe Card Adapter to give your computer a powerful performance boost for processing all the huge amount of data and workload of yours.
